Joshua sits just south of Burleson along US-67, on the same reactive clay belt. We see it here in both the older homes near downtown and the newer subdivisions that have gone up along the highway corridor in the last decade.
A lot of Joshua's newer construction sits on lots that were graded and filled during development, and fill soil takes longer to fully settle and compact than undisturbed ground. That means some newer Joshua homes show foundation movement earlier than you'd expect for their age, especially in the first five to ten years. Older homes closer to downtown follow the more typical gradual-settlement pattern from decades of the wet-dry clay cycle.
